Job summary

Sedgwick, a global claims administrator, is seeking a Claims Representative, Auto, to analyze and process auto and general liability property damage claims. The role supports telecommuting across multiple states with a focus on timely, accurate processing.

You will assess damages, initiate payments, and document files per policy while maintaining professional client relations and contributing to Sedgwick's quality programs. A Bachelor's degree and strong PC skills are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; state adjusting licenses as required for the position.
• Familiarity with personal and commercial lines policies and endorsements.
• Ability to review and assess Property Damage estimates and related expenses.
• Knowledge of total loss processing and salvage forms is preferred.
• Strong communication, both oral and written; presentation skills.
• PC literate, including Microsoft Office products.
• Analytical and interpretive skills; strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment and meet service expectations.

Responsibilities

• Processes auto and general liability property damage claims; assesses damage, approves payments, and ensures files are documented and coded per policy.
• Develops action plans to meet state contract deadlines and move files toward resolution.
• Identifies and pursues subrogation opportunities; secures and disposes of salvage.
• Communicates claim actions with insured, client, and broker when appropriate.
• Maintains professional client relations and supports the organization's quality programs.
• Performs coverage, liability, and damage analysis on all claim assignments.
• Travels as required.
