Job summary

Sedgwick is seeking a dedicated professional to analyze and process auto and general liability property damage claims. The role requires careful assessment of damage, documentation, and timely processing in line with policy terms.

The position emphasizes subrogation opportunities, effective communication with insureds and clients, and adherence to deadlines. A bachelor’s degree and strong analytical skills are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Familiarity with personal and commercial lines policies highlighted.
• Ability to review and assess Property Damage estimates and related expenses for negotiations.
• Knowledge of total loss processing and salvage forms is a plus.
• Excellent oral and written communication, including presentation skills.
• PC literate, including Microsoft Office products.
• Analytical and interpretive skills; strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a team and meet service expectations.

Responsibilities

• Processes auto and general liability property damage claims; assesses damage, makes payments, and ensures claim files are properly documented and correctly coded based on the policy.
• Develops and maintains action plans to ensure state required contract deadlines are met and to move the file towards prompt and appropriate resolution.
• Identifies and pursues subrogation opportunities; secures and disposes of salvage.
• Communicates claim action/processing with insured, client, and agent or broker when appropriate.
• Maintains professional client relations.
• Performs coverage, liability, and damage analysis on all claims assignments.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Supports the organization’s quality program(s).
• Travels as required.
