Job summary

Huntington is seeking qualified candidates to become Auto Finance Credit Representatives. You will evaluate auto loan applications, approve, deny, or negotiate, and work with dealers to grow profitable business.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of administrative credit function or underwriting experience.
• Underwrite indirect auto loans following credit policy, underwriting procedures, and loan structure guidelines.
• Cross-sell bank products and approve credit overrides as needed.
• Occasional travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Approves, denies and negotiates consumer auto credit applications originated through auto dealers.
• Develops relationships with dealers to ensure profitable and quality business growth.
• Provides customer service to dealer staff and applicant. Ensures compliance with bank policies/procedures and regulations.
• Cross sells bank products. Approves credit overrides, and makes recommendations to improve dealer/loan performance.
• May manage related staff, such as underwriters.
• Underwrite indirect auto consumer loans following credit policy, underwriting procedures, and loan structure guidelines.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

As an Auto Finance Sales Rep-Senior, you will develop and maintain profitable, quality indirect lending relationships with franchise automobile dealers within your assigned market (New England).

Duties And Responsibilities

• Provide a full array of Auto Finance related products and services Be responsible for direct sales to dealers, servicing dealer customer and training of various dealership staff.
• Build and maintain portfolio of business by identifying new opportunities and demonstrating value to dealer customers, which requires a thorough knowledge of bank and competitor products.
• Manage and Maintain reporting and key performance indicators for assigned territory
• Maintain overall market knowledge of auto industry and local competition and community awareness
• Promote Huntington’s value proposition of local sales and service.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
  
  
  

Basic Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Auto Finance related sales experience
• High School diploma
  
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Local Dealer knowledge and relationships preferred (New England)
• Experience working with multiple dealership and dealer groups
• Bachelor’s Degree
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong sales and negotiation skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Compensation Range

$57,000 - $113,000 Annual Salary

The compensation range represents the anticipated low and high end of the base compensation range for this position. Actual compensation will vary based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and education. Colleagues in this position are also eligible to participate in an applicable incentive compensation plan. In addition, Huntington provides a variety of benefits to colleagues, including health insurance coverage, wellness program, life and disability insurance, retirement savings plan, paid leave programs, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).
