Job summary

State Farm is seeking an Auto Estimator in Colorado Springs, CO, a Remote-Field role that blends home-based virtual estimates with in-person work at a mobile office or body shops. You will gather vehicle details, prepare estimates, and support insureds through the claims journey with a focus on service quality.

The position requires experience in auto damage estimating or related fields, strong communication, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Auto collision repair, auto damage estimating, and/or auto insurance appraiser experience.
• Excellent customer service, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task across technical platforms.
• Accountability and Resourcefulness.
• Physical agility for inspection tasks.
• A valid driver’s license is required.

Responsibilities

• Collect vehicle information and complete initial and supplemental estimates via photos or in person.
• Explain coverage and guide insureds through the claims process while delivering remarkable service.
• Provide technical support to claim handlers on vehicle repair issues.
• Apply knowledge of market value and factors affecting reparability.
• Evaluate bid content, photo documentation, vehicle damage, and causation issues.
• Answer inbound calls and make outbound calls to customers and repair shops.
• Maintain exceptional customer service throughout the claims process, addressing inquiries promptly.
