Job summary

State Farm in Yakima, WA seeks an Auto Estimator to collect vehicle information, prepare initial and supplemental estimates via photos or in person, and guide insureds through the claims process with Remarkable service.

You’ll use automated estimating systems, support claims handlers, evaluate repair content, and communicate clearly with customers and body shops while maintaining high service levels.

Qualifications

• Auto collision repair, auto damage estimating, and/or auto insurance appraiser experience.
• Excellent customer service, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task across technical platforms.
• Accountability and Resourcefulness.
• Physical agility to evaluate vehicle damage and create repair estimates.
• A valid driver’s license is required; MVR will be checked.

Responsibilities

• Collect vehicle information and prepare initial and supplemental estimates via photos or in person.
• Explain coverage and assist insureds through the claims process while delivering Remarkable service.
• Use automated estimating systems to prepare repair estimates.
• Provide technical support to claim handlers on vehicle repair issues.
• Evaluate bid content, photo documentation, vehicle damage, and causation issues.
• Respond to inbound calls and make outbound calls to customers and shops.
• Maintain excellent customer service throughout the claims process, addressing inquiries promptly.
