Job summary

State Farm seeks an Auto Estimator for a Remote-Field role in Midland, TX. You will collect vehicle data and generate estimates via photos or in person, assisting insureds through claims while delivering exceptional service.

Responsibilities include leveraging estimating systems, supporting claim handlers, and assessing damage with attention to causation and repair quality. Flexible hours and field work are expected.

Qualifications

• Auto collision repair, auto damage estimating, and/or auto insurance appraiser experience.
• Excellent customer service, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task across technical platforms.
• Accountability and resourcefulness.
• Must have a valid driver’s license; MVR check will be required.

Responsibilities

• Collect vehicle information from repair shops or customers and prepare estimates via photos or in person.
• Explain coverage and guide insureds through the claims process while delivering Remarkable service.
• Use automated estimating systems to prepare repair estimates and support claim handlers.
• Evaluate vehicle damage, bid content, photo documentation, and causation issues.
• Interact with customers and shops via inbound/outbound calls and provide timely service.
• Handle flexible shifts, overtime, and occasional field interactions as needed.
