Job summary

Humana, Inc. is seeking an Authorization Supervisor to oversee daily authorization activities and lead the team in compliance with standards and procedures. You will report to the Authorizations Manager and guide branch staff on authorization issues.

The role requires strong communication, 3+ years in healthcare authorization, and proficiency with Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams; remote work with occasional office travel may be involved.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years of healthcare authorization experience.
• Lead or supervisory experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily authorization activities to ensure efficiency and consistency with policies.
• Supervise authorization management functions and maintain portfolios at acceptable levels.
• Provide guidance to management at branches on authorization issues.
• Develop and implement plans to ensure authorizations meet objectives.
• Maintain provider manuals, patient information updates, and related logs.
• Ensure timely authorizations and adherence to customer service guidelines; stay updated on regulations.
