Job summary

SAIC seeks a Casual, Remote Pilot Operator to join the En Route Automation Modernization Offshore Automation team at the Honolulu Control Facility, Daniel K. Inouye International Airport. The RPO will operate a radar/voice system to simulate pilot actions for FAA training.

Certification in Classroom and Lab is required; US citizenship and ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance are mandatory; on-site training with potential remote work across the US is offered.

Qualifications

• US citizenship required with ability to obtain and maintain Public Trust clearance.
• High school diploma or equivalent and basic computer proficiency.
• Ability to read and interpret diagrams and manuals and speak clearly.
• 1–4 years experience as a Remote Pilot Operator (RPO).

Responsibilities

• Operate a simulated radar display and voice communications to mirror pilot actions.
• Input proper entries into the automated system to simulate pilot procedures.
• Translate displayed information into ATC terminology and respond via VCS.
• Complete classroom and lab certifications to perform as an RPO on all positions.
