Job summary

SAIC is seeking a Remote Pilot Operator to join the Controller Training Solutions team at the Oakland ARTCC (ZOA) in Fremont, CA. The RPO will simulate pilots and ATC staff within a high-fidelity training environment for FAA training programs.

You will operate a simulated radar display and VCS communications, translating information into proper ATC terminology and assisting students through realistic scenarios.

Qualifications

• Classroom (pass test on airspace and procedures) and Lab (perform as a Remote Pilot Operator on all positions).

Responsibilities

• Operate a simulated radar display and voice communication system to mimic pilots and remote ATC facilities during training exercises.
• Input proper entries into the automated system to simulate pilot actions.
• Translate displayed information into ATC terminology and respond to students via the VCS using correct phraseology.
