Job summary

SAIC is seeking a Full-time Remote Pilot Operator (RPO) to join the Controller Training Solutions (CTS) team at the Miami ARTCC (ZMA) in Miami, FL. The RPO role involves operating a simulated radar and voice system to emulate pilots and ATC in training exercises for FAA programs.

The candidate will perform as a pilot within the ATC training simulator, input entries, and communicate using aviation phraseology. Classroom and lab certifications are required to complete the role.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a high school diploma (or equivalent) and basic computer proficiency.
• Ability to read and interpret materials such as diagrams and manuals and speak clearly and be understood.
• US Citizenship is required with the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.

Responsibilities

• Operate the simulated radar display and voice communication system to mirror pilot actions.
• Translate displayed information into ATC terminology and respond to students via the VCS.
• Complete required certifications: Classroom (airspace and procedures) and Lab (Remote Pilot Operator on all positions).
• Support FAA training services as part of SAIC Controller Training Solutions at the Miami ARTCC.
