Job summary

SAIC's CTS team at the Atlanta ARTCC (ZTL) in Hampton, GA seeks a Full-time Remote Pilot Operator (RPO) to join our training services for the FAA. The RPO role involves operating a simulated radar display and voice system to mirror pilot actions and ATC communications during mid-to-high fidelity exercises.

Candidates will complete Classroom and Lab certifications to perform as Remote Pilot Operators and support the training of air traffic controllers nationwide.

Qualifications

• Classroom certification on airspace and procedures.
• Lab certification to perform as a Remote Pilot Operator on all positions.

Responsibilities

• Play the role of the pilot and other controllers in the ATC training simulator.
• Operate a simulated radar display and voice communications system to mirror pilot actions and ATC procedures.
• Input entries into the automation system and translate information into ATC terminology.
• Respond to students via the VCS using proper phraseology.
