Job summary

Smart1 Management Solutions, LLC is seeking a Remote Pilot Operator (RPO-EnRoute) to join the Controller Training Solutions team, partnering with SAIC at the Jacksonville ARTCC to support FAA air traffic controller training.

The RPO will simulate pilot actions and ATC communications within a high-fidelity training environment, input entries, translate data to ATC phrasing, and communicate with students via voice and VCS, requiring US citizenship and ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.

Qualifications

• Experience in multidisciplinary team environments.
• Experience and certification in ATC Tower, TRACON or En Route simulation.
• Effective oral and written communications skills.
• Working knowledge of the FAA JO 7110.65.
• Ability to work in a team and build shared understanding.
• Familiarization with pilot/controller communications or phraseology.

Responsibilities

• Operate a simulated radar display and voice system for training.
• Input entries into the automated system to simulate pilot actions.
• Translate data into ATC terminology and respond to students via VCS.
