Job summary

Humana is seeking an Associate Director, Segment Quality Engineering to lead quality engineering across a defined set of products and teams, partnering with Product, Engineering, Architecture, Platform, DevOps, and enterprise quality groups to embed quality throughout the SDLC.

You will drive release readiness, automation adoption, and continuous improvement to improve delivery speed and production stability.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent with experience.
8+ years in software or quality engineering roles.
3+ years in leadership of quality engineering or delivery teams.
Experience across multiple agile teams and complex applications.
Hands-on with enterprise quality tools, automation, and lifecycle tooling.
Strong Agile, DevOps, and CI/CD knowledge; API/UI/end-to-end testing.

Responsibilities

Lead quality engineering execution for a defined segment of applications or teams.
Coach quality engineering leaders, engineers, and SDETs for growth.
Implement established quality standards and governance.
Drive quality planning across functional, integration, and release validation.
Partner with leadership to embed quality in planning, design, and development.
Oversee defect management, triage, and corrective actions.
Ensure readiness assessments and production deployment validation.
Advance automation adoption and regression coverage.
Integrate automated checks into CI/CD pipelines with platform teams.
Coordinate non-functional testing including performance, resiliency, and security.
Monitor quality metrics and delivery trends to identify risks.
Escalate systemic quality concerns to leadership as needed.
Contribute to modernization with reusable frameworks and enterprise tools.
Promote AI-enabled quality engineering practices for speed and reliability.
Ensure security, privacy, regulatory, and operational standards compliance.
