Job summary

The Jackson Laboratory is seeking an Associate Director, Continuous Improvement to set a multi-year Lean strategy for JMCRS Operations and lead a team deploying Lean across U.S. sites. This remote leadership role drives safety, quality, delivery, and cost improvements while managing a budget and partnering with senior leaders.

Responsibilities include Kaizen leadership, KPI tracking, and cross-functional collaboration to develop Operational Excellence leaders and scale a mature Lean system.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or a scientific field is required; Master's preferred.
• 10 years of relevant experience; 6+ years in supervisory roles.
• Extensive experience in operational excellence and Lean methodologies.
• Proven ability to lead diverse, cross-functional teams across sites.

Responsibilities

• Set multi-year Lean strategy and deploy across operations.
• Develop and coach an operations Lean team to implement Kaizen and core tools.
• Lead the Kaizen funnel and sustainment to institutionalize improvements.
• Define project scope, goals, timelines, and plans with managers.
• Deliver regular status reports to the leadership team.
• Collaborate to collect and analyze data for process improvements.
