Job summary

The Jackson Laboratory is seeking an Associate Director, Continuous Improvement to set the multi-year Lean strategy for JMCRS Operations and lead a team of Improvement Specialists deploying Lean across US sites.

This is a remote role overseeing an on-site team with production work in Bar Harbor, ME; Ellsworth, ME; Sacramento, CA; Gainesville, FL, with up to 50% travel during early deployment. Competitive compensation ranges from $121,924 to $176,790.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or a scientific field required; Master's degree preferred.
• 10 years of relevant experience required; 12+ years preferred.
• 6 years of supervisory experience required; 8+ years preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop operational excellence team members and drive continuous improvement of the program.
• Coach team members on Kaizen and core Lean tools: Value Stream Mapping, Standard Work, Daily Management, Problem Solving.
• Manage the Kaizen funnel and sustainment bowler to ensure improvements are institutionalized.
• Lead the team to identify, facilitate, and track initiatives that lift safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost.
• Partner with JMCRS managers to define scope, opportunities, timelines, and project plans.
• Provide leadership and development for a distributed team supporting domestic US operations.
• Model change management practices across sites.
• Prepare analyses, flow charts, and reports per project specs; deliver status reports to leadership.
• Collaborate to collect, validate, and organize data to evaluate processes.
