Oscar Health in the United States is seeking an Associate Director, Actuarial to lead a team of actuaries, own pricing for ACA markets, and collaborate with Finance, Market P&L, and Product Development. You will report to the VP, Actuarial.

This is a fully remote role open to U.S. residents, with some travel for team meetings and events. Base pay varies by location, and employees are eligible for benefits and annual performance bonuses.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM field or 4 years commensurate actuarial experience.
• Fellow of the SOA, or actively pursuing fellowship.

Mansioni

• Own financial estimates and forecasts; communicate findings and critical actuarial recommendations to senior management.
• Lead team initiatives to enhance actuarial models and methodologies.
• Oversee the end-to-end actuarial pricing processes within a specific portfolio or sub-portfolio.
• Influence and collaborate with key stakeholders to guide strategic business decisions with respect to rates.
• Have an in-depth understanding of key financial risks and opportunities within the portfolio and across Oscar's business.
• Provide an actuarial viewpoint across cross-functional teams for your portfolio as we rapidly grow in existing and new markets and business lines.
• Mentor, coach, and provide actuarial team members with regular feedback.
• Lead and shape Oscar actuarial best practices with respect to automation and documentation.
• Develop strong relationships, rapport, and lines of communication with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
• Other duties as assigned.
