Oscar Health is seeking an Associate Director, Actuarial to lead a team of actuaries and drive pricing across ACA markets. You will mentor managers and analysts, partner with Finance, Market P&L, and Product Development, and report to the VP, Actuarial. This fully remote role is open to U.S.

residents (with specified exclusions) and offers competitive base pay and benefits. You will own financial estimates, refine models, and influence critical pricing decisions while ensuring regulatory

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM or 4 years commensurate experience.
• SOA fellowship or currently pursuing exams.
• 7+ years actuarial and/or quantitative analysis experience.
• Excellent communication, collaboration and relationship-building skills.
• Strong understanding of health insurance concepts.

Responsabilités

• Own financial estimates and forecasts; communicate findings to senior management.
• Lead team initiatives to enhance actuarial models and methodologies.
• Oversee end-to-end actuarial pricing processes within a portfolio.
• Influence stakeholders to guide strategic pricing decisions.
• Understand financial risks and opportunities to inform pricing strategies.
• Provide actuarial perspective across cross-functional teams as the business grows.
• Mentor, coach, and provide regular feedback to team members.
• Lead and shape actuarial best practices with automation and documentation.
• Develop strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Support other duties as assigned.
