Job summary

Safeguard Law Group, PLLC. is seeking a full-time Associate Attorney to join our Mississippi practice remotely. This role offers exposure to consumer protection matters, including drafting pleadings and memoranda and managing a heavy workload with strict deadlines.

Ideal candidates are admitted to the Mississippi bar, have at least 1 year of law firm experience, and possess superb organizational, written and oral communication skills. Travel for in-court appearances is required.

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice law in Mississippi
• Minimum of 1 year of law firm experience
• Experience drafting pleadings and memoranda
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Highest ethical standards and professional integrity
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with senior management and staff
• Strong legal research skills – LexisNexis proficiency a plus

Responsibilities

• Maintain and supervise a heavy & diversified caseload in Mississippi
• Communicate with clients regarding their matters
• Draft pleadings, motions, memoranda, reviewing & drafting agreements
• Communicate with opposing parties to resolve/settle claims
• Legal research related to contract law and consumer law
• Travel for in-court appearances as required
