Job summary

Safeguard Law Group, PLLC. seeks a full-time Associate Attorney to join our consumer protection practice from remote in Michigan, serving clients with diligence and integrity.

The ideal candidate is admitted to the Michigan bar, has at least 1 year of law firm experience, excellent written and oral communication, and is prepared to handle a heavy workload, including drafting pleadings and researching complex contract and consumer-law issues.

Qualifications

• Must be currently admitted to practice law in Michigan.
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience at a law firm.
• Superior organizational & time-management skills to meet strict deadlines.
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
• Highest ethical standards and professional integrity.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with senior management and employees at all levels throughout the organization.
• Strong legal research skills -- LexisNexis is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining and supervising a heavy & diversified caseload of the Firm’s clients in Michigan.
• Communicating with clients regarding their matters.
• Drafting pleadings, motions, legal memoranda, reviewing & drafting agreements, etc.
• Communicating with opposing parties to resolve/settle claims.
• Legal research related to contract law and other consumer law issues.
• Travel for in court appearances as needed (role based from home).
