Job summary

Liberty Mutual is seeking an Associate Attorney to represent the company and policyholders in moderately complex civil litigation and workers' compensation matters. The role allows remote work within California with required in-person appearances as needed.

You will handle cases from filing through resolution under moderate supervision, applying strong research, writing, and client-relations skills in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• JD or LLB from an accredited law school and CA bar admission in good standing.
• Knowledge of insurance, workers' compensation, or no-fault law is a plus.
• Strong research, writing, and analytical abilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage all phases of civil litigation from inception to resolution.
• Advise clients and maintain relationships with claims representatives and insureds.
• Utilize e-discovery and case management tech to streamline processes.
• Draft pleadings, motions and other legal documents with accuracy.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and remote team members.
• Ensure compliance with ethics and licensing requirements.
• Contribute to organizational improvement within Staff Legal and Global Legal & Compliance.
