Job summary

Providence is seeking an Associate Actuary for a remote role. The position requires managing complex actuarial work with minimal supervision, communicating results to senior stakeholders, and leading projects from planning through execution.

The role also involves coaching junior analysts and collaborating across teams to drive solutions. Ideal candidates will hold a statistics/finance-related degree, ASA credential (or progress toward), and at least five years of healthcare actuarial/analytics

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Social Science, Finance, or a related field
• Successful completion of 4+ exams of the ASA designation
• Upon hire: ASA designation
• 5 years healthcare actuarial/analytics experience
• Experience with SQL or another programming language
• Experience applying project management in data-related and financial analysis projects
• Experience working for a large health care provider or plan

Responsibilities

• Communicates findings and recommendations clearly to actuarial peers, leaders, and senior stakeholders
• Takes ownership of complex projects from planning through completion, anticipating dependencies, risks, and key decisions
• Provides guidance to project teams and coaches junior analysts
• Exhibits emerging leadership through accountability and cross-team collaboration
