Job summary

Providence Health & Services is seeking an Associate Actuary for a remote role. You will perform complex actuarial analyses, communicate findings to stakeholders, and lead projects from start to finish.

The role includes mentoring juniors and collaborating across teams to drive patient-centered outcomes. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in healthcare actuarial analytics, ASA credentials, and strong SQL or programming experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Social Science, Finance, or a related field.
• Successful completion of 4+ exams of the ASA designation.
• Upon hire: ASA designation.
• 5 years healthcare actuarial/analytics experience.
• Experience with writing queries in SQL or another programming language.
• Demonstrated experience applying project management skills in data-related and financial analysis projects.
• Experience working for a large health care provider or plan.

Responsibilities

• Performs complex actuarial work with minimal supervision.
• Communicates findings and recommendations to peers, leaders, and senior stakeholders.
• Takes ownership of complex projects from planning through completion.
• Provides guidance to project teams and coaches junior analysts.
• Demonstrates emerging leadership and partners across teams to achieve outcomes.
