Job summary

Otto Aerospace, Inc. is seeking an experienced Assistant Controller to lead daily corporate accounting, manage the month-end close, and ensure SEC reporting accuracy with SOX compliance. You will supervise accounting staff, partner with FP&A and Investor Relations, and maintain financial systems.

The role requires US GAAP expertise, public company background, and strong leadership in a fast-paced environment. Remote-first with travel to Fort Worth, TX and Jacksonville, FL as needed.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Public company experience and SEC reporting required.
• Experience with SOX controls and internal controls environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead month-end close processes (M/E, quarter, year).
• Oversee Accounts Payable/Receivable, Fixed Assets and GL activities.
• Coordinate audits with external/internal auditors and CFO reporting.
• Maintain SOX 404 controls and optimize ERP workflows.
