Job summary

Veracity Insurance Solutions in Pleasant Grove, Utah, is seeking an Assistant Controller who will maintain accurate financial records through journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, accounts payable approvals, and month-end close activities. Reporting to the Controller, this role emphasizes internal controls and timely, precise reporting.

You will own carrier reporting and bordereaux reconciliation, coordinate with Data, Finance, Product, and Program teams to resolve discrepancies, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience including general ledger, reconciliations, accounts payable, and financial reporting.
• Experience with month-end close processes required.
• Insurance industry experience required.
• Strong ability to manipulate and analyze large volumes of financial data using accounting software and tools.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary owner of carrier reporting and bordereaux reconciliation.
• Review policy-level reporting, commissions, and related payment activity for accuracy.
• Lead or support implementation of new accounting and reporting workflows using technology and automation.
• Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
• Review and approve accounts payable invoices, expense reports, and payment requests.
