Job summary

Privia Health is seeking an experienced Assistant Controller to join our accounting team. Reporting to the Corporate Controller, this leadership role will scale financial operations, strengthen internal controls (SOX), and drive key accounting workflows in a remote setting.

The ideal candidate brings public accounting and public company experience, with expertise in U.S. GAAP, audit readiness, and leading remote teams. CPA is required and healthcare familiarity is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• CPA required.
• 10+ years accounting experience in public accounting and public company environment.
• Healthcare/health-tech background preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close routines to ensure GAAP-compliant statements.
• Oversee journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and schedules across units.
• Partner with FP&A on budget-to-actual analyses and reporting.
• Lead M&A accounting integration and transition projects.
• Maintain SOX 404 compliance and support external audits.
• Serve as finance lead for ERP transition and automation initiatives.
