Job summary

Hunt St in Australia is seeking a motivated Assistant Accountant to join the finance team as a remote independent contractor. The role focuses on Accounts Payable with duties across Accounts Receivable, payroll and general accounting support.

You will work with a small finance team, use MYOB and Excel, and maintain accurate records while aligning with AU business hours. This is a contractor engagement for candidates in the Philippines.

Qualifications

• Experience in Accounts Payable or Assistant Accountant roles.
• Fluent in English with strong written and verbal skills.
• Degree in Accounting or related discipline is desirable.
• MYOB experience is highly desirable.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Process supplier invoices and match to PO/docket approvals.
• Maintain supplier records and respond to inquiries.
• Process expense claims and reconcile card transactions.
• Set up customers in MYOB and issue invoices.
• Monitor outstanding invoices and follow up overdue accounts.
• Assist with payroll processing and reconciliations.
• Support month-end reporting and general ledger maintenance.
