Job summary

Hunt St is seeking an experienced senior accounting professional to manage end-to-end finance for a remote Australian client operating in the Philippines. This independent contractor role requires multi-currency accounting, strong NetSuite and data-cleaning skills, and leadership of a small finance team across time zones.

You will reconcile bank accounts in AUD/USD/EUR, manage AP/AR, and prepare monthly management packs with detailed variance analyses.

Qualifications

• CPA credential required (Philippine CPA with strong background in accounting).
• Minimum 8 years in accounting; at least 3 in product-based business with inventory and landed-cost experience.
• Experience with BAS/GST, payroll tax, and multi-currency accounting for Australian context.
• Has run monthly close end-to-end and produced owner/MD management packs.
• Experience with NetSuite and data cleansing projects is strongly preferred; MYOB is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Daily reconciliation of all bank and card accounts across AUD, USD, EUR and other currencies, with same-day exception handling.
• Enter supplier invoices; three-way match; code expenses; prepare payment schedules for CEO; maintain supplier data.
• Allocate customer receipts; issue statements; manage overdue lists and provide weekly exposure dashboards.
• Reconcile payroll data; reconcile superannuation and leave balances.
• Post goods receipts and landed-cost allocations; stock valuation; coordinate with Warehouse Coordinator on inventorycounts.
• Close books by working day 5; prepare monthly management pack with P&L by brand and channel, balance sheet, cash, inventory days, DSO/DPO.
• Build annual budget with managers; maintain rolling 12-month forecast; oversee cash forecasts and variance analysis.
• Provide commercial insight on gross margins by brand/channel and support pricing and supplier terms.
• Execute FX transactions; monthly revaluation of foreign currency balances.
• Maintain segregation of duties; audit trail in NetSuite; prepare BAS, FBT and year-end working papers for Australian accountants.
