Job summary

Georgia-Pacific seeks a Remote Asset Engineering Lead for the Corrugated Products division to apply data analytics and process expertise for proactive issue detection and recovery guidance. The role supports facilities across North America from the Midtown-Atlanta CSC.

The candidate will work with leadership to define support strategies, potentially mentoring other remote engineers as needs evolve, and travel up to 25% to engage with operating facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science or higher in Engineering.
• 3+ years of experience working within or supporting manufacturing teams.
• Experience presenting complex information to a variety of audiences.
• Willing and able to travel up to 25% to operating facilities to build relationships and develop process understanding.
• Experience using Power BI, OSIsoft PI, or other industrial data and analytics platforms.

Responsibilities

• Review assigned assets and processes daily to identify deviations, emerging trends, and potential failures; diagnose issues and communicate findings to site personnel.
• Work independently to identify optimization opportunities on areas/assets of responsibility and engage division SMEs on value and path forward.
• Collaborate with CSC teammates and strategic partners to solve complex operational and process challenges.
• Identify opportunities to leverage AI and advanced analytics to automate detection of emerging issues, generate actionable insights, and reduce manual analysis activities.
