Job summary

Georgia-Pacific is seeking a Cost Engineer to support capital projects across North America, with ownership aligned to experience. You will partner with project teams to establish budgets, analyze performance, develop forecasts, identify risks, and provide insights that improve financial outcomes.

This is a remote role open to candidates in the US and requires up to 25% travel to headquarters and facilities in USA/Canada depending on business needs.

Qualifications

• Two or more years in project controls or cost engineering.
• Experience budgeting, commitments, accruals and forecasts.
• Experience with large cost datasets and ERP systems.
• Ability to present complex cost information clearly.
• Willing to travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Establish project cost structures and budgets.
• Maintain cost position across budgets, commitments, actuals.
• Coordinate monthly cost-cycle activities and reconciliations.
• Analyze cost performance and forecast movements.
• Integrate cost and schedule data to evaluate progress.
• Collaborate with procurement and contract administration.
