Job summary

Georgia-Pacific is seeking aspiring candidates for a Process Engineer EDP role (Summer 2027). The position is fully remote with some travel and will report to the Director of Engineering Design, collaborating with operations and engineering to improve asset performance, process safety, and reliability.

As part of the Project & Engineering team, you will support capital projects, ensure quality standards, develop business cases, and build relationships with operations, engineering and suppliers

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in pulp & paper operations and engineering
• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Pulp and Paper Science
• Ability to travel at least 50%
• Legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without visa sponsorship
• Eligible to work full-time on or by Summer 2027

Responsibilities

• Support the Project Engineering, Small Project Teams, mill site engineering, and Manufacturing Technical Center for capital projects and load resources
• Ensure GP discipline engineering quality standards and deliverables throughout capital project execution
• Confirm integrity of project scope definition to meet business goals
• Collaborate with engineers, designers and suppliers to develop transformative projects
• Develop business cases with SMEs to support the investment strategy
• Develop relationships with Operations, Engineering and Business teams
• Identify capital improvement opportunities with site and external teams
• Comply with Environmental, Health and Safety to achieve zero incidents
