Job summary

Georgia-Pacific is seeking aspiring candidates for a project engineering support role within the Investment Process Engineering and Design team. This position is fully remote with some travel and reports to the Director of Engineering Design.

You will collaborate across operations and engineering to improve asset performance, process safety, and reliability, using PBM and Frameworks to drive transformative projects in GP Manufacturing Operations.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in pulp & paper operations and engineering.
• Knowledge of design, construction, operation, and maintenance of assets.
• Eligible to start full-time on or by Summer 2027.
• Ability to travel at least 50%.
• Legal authorization to work permanently in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Support project engineering, small project teams, mill site engineering, and Manufacturing Technical Center discipline teams for capital projects.
• Ensure GP discipline engineering quality standards are defined and fulfilled in all phases of capital project execution.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop transformative projects for GP businesses.
• Develop relationships with Operations, Engineering, and Business teams.
• Support development and implementation of Design, Operate, and Maintain standards.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Pulp and Paper Science
