Job summary

Western Funding Inc. in Norfolk, VA is seeking an Area Sales Manager to drive funded deals with auto dealer partners across North America. You will work remotely and on the road to identify, onboard, and manage dealer growth, using a consultative sales approach.

The role reports to Regional Sales Managers and includes training, with a base salary plus commissions and strong earning potential. Candidates should have automotive/finance knowledge, strong presentation and communication skills,

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• High School diploma or equivalent required
• College degree or equivalent work experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of Automotive, Finance and Sales
• Experience in Financial Services or car dealership
• 1-2 years in a sales role with a proven track record
• Clear and effective presentation skills
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Knowledge of warm calling, appointment setting, and sales techniques
• Strong computer skills and adaptability to new technology
• Results orientation and ability to work independently or in a team
• Bi-lingual Spanish a plus
• Willingness to travel up to 75% to visit auto dealers

Responsibilities

• Present and communicate company products and services to management at Independent and Franchise Dealerships in person
• Identify sales prospects and contact accounts assigned to you
• Follow up on new leads and referrals from dealer calls
• Develop and grow current and potential dealer partners within the Independent and Franchise dealer communities
• Maintain constant communication with dealer partners on current programs
• Train dealers in Western Funding documentation for fast funding of contracts
