ProAg is seeking an experienced Area Claims Supervisor to lead a remote team of crop insurance adjusters across Montana and Southern Idaho. You will coach, mentor, and develop staff, manage performance, and ensure timely, accurate claim handling in compliance with policies and regulations.

You’ll analyze workloads, allocate resources, and collaborate with Claims Management to drive process improvements. Travel ~40% statewide as needed to support field staff and training.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with claims leadership experience.
• Minimum 2 years of people leadership in a claims environment.
• Experience overseeing claims operations and customer service expectations.
• Proven coaching and development of frontline employees, including performance reviews.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and decision-making skills; able to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, mentor, and develop a team of crop insurance adjusters across Montana and Southern Idaho.
• Provide day-to-day leadership, performance management, and career development support.
• Oversee claims operations for timely, accurate, customer-focused handling and compliance.
• Monitor workloads, allocate resources, and support staffing decisions.
• Review claim activity and escalate complex situations to ensure quality outcomes.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements and efficiency.
• Deliver training on best practices and ensure adoption of claims processes and tools.
