Job summary

Acadia Pharmaceuticals Inc. is seeking a results-driven Area Business Manager to lead territory plans and drive performance in a complex neurology and rare disease landscape.

You will cultivate strong HCP relationships, deliver compliant, educational messages, and collaborate cross-functionally to ensure patient access to therapy. The role requires 3+ years in pharmaceutical sales (1+ year in specialty) or 8 total years with 5 in specialty, with willingness to travel up to 80%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required, strong preference for life sciences.
• To qualify, at least 3 years of pharmaceutical sales experience, with at least 1 year in specialty sales.
• Area Business Manager requires 8 years of pharmaceutical sales experience, including 5 years in specialty sales.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with target HCPs to raise awareness of the therapeutic area.
• Deliver MLR-approved, education-focused messages and disease-state information.
• Strategically plan and execute territory business plans to exceed goals and meet budgets.
• Address customer concerns promptly and collaborate with internal teams to resolve issues.
• Analyze sales potential and optimize outreach within guidelines.
• Participate in local and national patient advocacy events and training sessions.
• Guide customers on product pricing and access with internal teams for complex questions.
• Demonstrate professionalism, accountability, and compliance in all duties.
• Pursue personal and professional development, taking on leadership opportunities.
