Job summary

Acadia Pharmaceuticals is seeking a patient-focused Area Business Manager in Dallas to promote the first FDA-approved Rett syndrome treatment for adults and children. Lead territory strategy, build provider relationships, and drive performance in a complex rare-disease landscape.

The role requires 3+ years in pharma sales (1+ in specialty) or 8+ years with 5+ in specialty, plus willingness to travel up to 80% within the territory and to headquarters. Compensation includes base, bonus, and equity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in life sciences preferred.
• 3+ years in pharmaceutical sales with ≥1 year in specialty sales.
• 8+ years in pharma sales with ≥5 years in specialty sales.
• Experience in CNS/neurology or pediatric neurology beneficial.
• Willingness to travel and drive extensively within territory.
• FDA/OIG good standing and valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Report to Regional Business Leader and align with sales goals.
• Build relationships with healthcare providers and care teams.
• Develop and execute territory business plans to exceed goals.
• Deliver MLR-approved, education-focused messages to HCPs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support patients and providers.
• Engage with KOLs and stakeholders; participate in events and trainings.
