Job summary

Worley seeks an Electrical Apprentice for a remote Arctic project in Alaska. The position runs for about one year with a schedule of 84 hours per week (40 straight time and at least 44 overtime).

Meals and lodging are provided on location, and transportation between Anchorage and Prudhoe Bay is arranged. Install new electrical systems in a brown-field petrochemical environment and support Journeyman electricians while learning NEC codes, NFPA70E, and industry practices.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in ABC Electrical Apprenticeship program.
• Current Alaska State Fitness Card.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver’s license with insurance.
• NSTC certification training available via Worley.

Responsibilities

• Assist Electrical Journeyman in setup and performance of tasks.
• Support maintenance, troubleshooting and installation of industrial electrical systems.
• Learn to bend, cut, thread, and install conduit.
• Assist in pulling MC-HL cable and installation.
• Help terminate wiring and install electrical components.
• Learn applicable NEC codes for installations.
• Operate tools and equipment used in industrial construction.
• Participate in Toolbox meetings.
• Follow safety policies and regulatory requirements.
• Complete apprentice testing requirements.
