Job summary

Worley is seeking a Journeyman Electrician for a remote Arctic project in Alaska on a one-year contract. The role involves maintenance, installation and troubleshooting of industrial electrical systems, with 84 hours per week and meals/lodging provided on site.

Expected start is October/November 2026. National travel between Anchorage and Prudhoe Bay is supported; 401k match and company benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Four (4) years of field experience through an accredited apprenticeship program, or an associate degree in electrical technology may be substituted provided the industrial electrical experience requirement is met.
• North Slope Training Cooperative (NSTC) certification or training as needed by Worley.
• Current and valid Alaska State Fitness Certificate as a Journeyman Electrician.
• High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Valid driver’s license and ability to be covered by Worley’s auto insurer.

Responsibilities

• Read and understand wiring schematics, design drawings, and specifications.
• Set and secure electrical distribution equipment including switchgear, transformers, MCCs, power panels and control boxes.
• Install power, control and instrumentation circuits from 24V DC up to 13.8kV.
• Bend, cut, thread, and install conduit; terminate wiring.
• Test and troubleshoot electrical circuits and devices; mentor apprentices.
• Participate in daily/weekly toolbox meetings.
