Job summary

Aston Carter is seeking a Remote Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our finance team. This role focuses on invoicing, collections, and reconciliation in a fully remote environment, with a Tampa, FL-based contract-to-hire arrangement.

You will manage high-volume AR tasks, apply payments, investigate discrepancies, and collaborate with leadership on aging reports and process improvements. Remote work requires strong self-discipline and Excel/Sage ERP familiarity.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of accounting experience with accounts receivable exposure.
• Hands-on invoicing, payment application, and accounts payable processes.
• Experience handling high-volume accounting operations and remote work.

Responsibilities

• Generate, review, and distribute customer invoices; support monthly billing.
• Apply customer payments and investigate discrepancies.
• Monitor AR aging and perform collections on past-due accounts.
• Serve as primary contact for invoices, payments, and balances.
• Maintain customer records and document collection efforts.
• Prepare aging reports and communicate risks to leadership.
• Assist with reconciliations and month-end close tasks.
• Support cash management and general accounting duties.
