Job summary

Hire With Near is seeking an AR Specialist to own the accounts receivable process from start to finish. This role is fully integrated with the operations team, reporting to the Director of Operations and collaborating with the acting controller and operations coordinators.

You will manage 400–600 invoices weekly, resolve why invoices stall, de-escalate payment issues while protecting client relationships, and prepare weekly aging reports.

Qualifications

• Experience in accounts receivable or collections, ideally handling a high volume of invoices.
• Excellent written and spoken English; comfortable on the phone with clients, agents and artists.
• Strong attention to detail when reviewing and correcting invoices.
• Personable, solution-oriented approach to difficult payment conversations.
• Ability to manage a heavy workload efficiently and stay organized.

Responsibilities

• Follow up on 400 to 600 invoices per week, with volume expected to grow, ensuring every overdue invoice is touched weekly.
• Identify why invoices are stuck (missing or incorrect POs, uploads, amounts or currency) and work with the client's AP team to get paid.
• Handle non-responsive and sensitive accounts, escalating when communication stalls.
• De-escalate tense payment situations while protecting client relationships.
• Review batches of invoices before sending to catch errors and avoid rejections.
• Make invoice revisions in QuickBooks Online as needed.
• Prepare a weekly aging report (30, 60 and 90+ days) with status and next steps.
