Job summary

Jobgether, in partnership with a behavioral healthcare organization, seeks an Accounts Receivable Resolution Specialist based in the United States. This fully remote, full-time role focuses on insurance claims processing, reimbursements, and escalation of denials to accelerate payments.

You will work with billing teams, providers, patients, and insurers to resolve discrepancies, submit appeals via WAYSTAR, and maintain accurate notes in Avatar.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in insurance claims follow-up and denial management.
• Strong knowledge of healthcare billing, reimbursement processes, and denial resolution.
• Remote work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow up on assigned accounts daily to reduce outstanding accounts receivable and accelerate reimbursement.
• Review denied claims promptly and accurately, identifying resolution strategies including authorization and precertification.
• Prepare and submit appeal letters and payer documentation through WAYSTAR for unpaid or underpaid claims.
• Prioritize account resolution activities to improve efficiency and outcomes.
• Document actions and progress using standardized notes in Avatar and WAYSTAR.
• Meet departmental productivity and performance requirements.
• Follow reporting lines and participate in initiatives to reduce outstanding accounts receivable.
• Assist billing teams in responding to incoming mail and other correspondence.
