The engineer will apply mechanical principles to high‑temperature reactor systems, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient operation within a multidisciplinary team. Responsibilities include design per ASME BPVC, fabrication oversight, documentation, testing, and configuration management.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited degree with 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Willingness to travel to Idaho Falls, Idaho.
• US citizenship required for government contracting work.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team on a novel advanced reactor design.
• Design reactor vessels per ASME BPVC for high-temperature service.
• Oversee fabrication, testing, and documentation to meet codes and standards.
• Establish testing and quality requirements; ensure conformance with the technical baseline.
• Coordinate with customers and analysts to develop experiment requirements and integration analyses.
