Job summary

Grundfos is seeking an Applications Engineer to provide expert technical guidance on product selection, system design, and application optimization for high-purity water solutions. You will bridge customer needs with Grundfos technology, ensuring reliable, energy-efficient outcomes.

You will collaborate with Sales and Project teams, perform preliminary sizing and cost estimation, and deliver comprehensive turnover packages.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering or related field.
5+ years of experience in applications engineering, technical sales support, or system design.
Strong understanding of high-purity water treatment processes and sanitary design principles.

Responsibilities

Evaluate customer inquiries to define scope of proposed high-purity water treatment solutions.
Develop conceptual system designs and preliminary engineering calculations for sizing and estimating.
Prepare detailed cost estimates and identify value-engineered alternatives.
Research equipment options considering technical suitability, lead times, and pricing.
Explore innovative approaches to customer challenges and propose practical solutions.
Collaborate with Sales to align technical and commercial strategy with customers.
Participate in customer meetings to provide technical support alongside Sales.
Deliver technical and commercial turnover packages to Project Management and Manufacturing.
Lead technical reviews and turnover meetings with downstream teams.
