Job summary

Grundfos is seeking an Applications Engineer to provide expert guidance on product selection, system design, and application optimization for high-purity water projects. You will bridge customer requirements with Grundfos technology to deliver energy-efficient, reliable solutions globally.

You will evaluate inquiries, develop conceptual designs, estimate costs, and partner with Sales to align technical and commercial strategy. A PE license or progress toward certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.
• 5+ years in applications engineering or related field.
• Experience with high-purity water treatment and sanitary design.
• Ability to read technical drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate inquiries to define technical and commercial scope.
• Develop conceptual system designs and sizing calculations.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates and identify value-engineered options.
• Research equipment options based on technical fit, availability, lead times.
• Explore innovative approaches to customer challenges and recommend practical solutions.
• Collaborate with Sales to align technical and commercial strategy.
• Participate in customer meetings to provide technical support.
• Prepare and deliver technical and commercial turnover packages to Project Management and Manufacturing.
• Lead technical review and turnover meetings to confirm scope with downstream teams.
