Grundfos is seeking an Applications Engineer to provide expert guidance on product selection, system design, and application optimization for high-purity water solutions. You will bridge customer needs with Grundfos technology, collaborating with Sales to align technical and commercial strategies and supporting bid and turnover activities.

Requires a mechanical or chemical engineering degree and 5+ years in related roles; PE license is a plus.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering or related field.
5+ years of experience in applications engineering, technical sales support, or system design.
Strong understanding of high-purity water treatment, hydraulics, sanitary design, and water-quality requirements.

Responsibilities

Evaluate customer inquiries to define technical and commercial scope for high-purity water solutions.
Develop conceptual system designs and preliminary engineering calculations for sizing and estimating.
Prepare detailed cost estimates and identify value-engineered alternatives.
Research equipment options based on technical fit, availability, lead time, and pricing.
Explore innovative approaches to customer challenges and propose practical solutions.
Partner with Sales to align technical and commercial strategy for Grundfos-proposed solutions.
Participate in customer meetings to provide technical support alongside Sales.
Prepare and deliver turnover packages to Project Management, Engineering, and Manufacturing.
Lead technical reviews and turnover meetings to confirm project scope with downstream teams.
