Grundfos in the United States is seeking an Applications Engineer to provide technical guidance on product selection, system design, and application optimization for high-purity water solutions. You will partner with Sales, perform preliminary calculations, prepare cost estimates, evaluate equipment options, and support customers from pre-bid to turnover, in a remote-friendly, collaborative environment.

This role requires a mechanical or chemical engineering degree and 5+ years in applications

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in applications engineering, technical sales support, or system design.
• Strong understanding of high-purity water treatment processes, system hydraulics, sanitary design principles, and high-purity water-quality requirements.
• Proficiency with engineering selection and sizing tools and ability to read technical drawings and specifications

Mansioni

• Define technical and commercial scope for high-purity water treatment solutions.
• Develop conceptual system designs and perform preliminary calculations to support equipment sizing, selection, and estimating.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates and identify value-engineered alternatives that optimize system performance, cost, and overall customer value.
• Research and evaluate equipment and component options based on technical suitability, availability, lead time, and pricing.
• Explore innovative approaches to customer application challenges and recommend practical, technically sound solutions.
• Partner with Sales to determine the best path forward for Grundfos-proposed solutions and align the technical and commercial strategy presented to the customer.
• Participate in customer meetings, including pre-bid discussions, bid reviews, and technical-clarification meetings, to provide technical support alongside Sales.
• Prepare and deliver comprehensive technical and commercial turnover packages to Project Management, Engineering, and Manufacturing.
• Lead technical review and turnover meetings to communicate project requirements and confirm the scope of supply with downstream teams.
