Job summary

Grundfos in the United States seeks an Applications Engineer to provide expert technical guidance on product selection, system design, and application optimization for high-purity water solutions.

You will collaborate with Sales, manage bid activities, deliver turnkey turnover packages, and lead technical reviews across Project Management, Engineering, and Manufacturing, while supporting customers and ensuring value.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.
• Minimum 5+ years in applications engineering, technical sales support, or system design.
• Strong knowledge of high-purity water treatment processes and sanitary design.
• Ability to read technical drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate customer inquiries, specifications, and operating requirements to define the scope of proposed high-purity water solutions.
• Develop conceptual system designs and perform preliminary engineering calculations for equipment sizing and estimating.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates and identify value-engineered alternatives to optimize system performance and cost.
• Research and evaluate equipment options based on technical suitability, availability, lead time and pricing.
• Explore innovative approaches to customer application challenges and recommend practical solutions.
• Partner with Sales to align technical and commercial strategies for Grundfos solutions.
• Participate in customer meetings to provide technical support alongside Sales.
• Prepare and deliver technical and commercial turnover packages to Project Management, Engineering, and Manufacturing.
• Lead technical review and turnover meetings to confirm the scope of supply.
