Job summary

Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence is seeking an Applications Engineer I for a fully remote U.S.-based role. You will provide technical and application support to customers and resellers, assist with training, and help implement software workflows.

You will work with cross-functional teams, learn established procedures, and develop expertise in supported products and manufacturing applications while maintaining professional communication with customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Manufacturing, or related field.
• Fluent written and verbal communication in English and Spanish.
• Ability to learn software applications and established procedures.
• Strong customer service and ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
• Analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to organize and prioritize multiple requests with accuracy.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and quick to learn new tools.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-level technical and application support to customers and resellers, escalating issues when needed.
• Assist with online customer training and application guidance for supported software.
• Support software application implementation and integration using established procedures.
• Assist with post processor modifications, custom reports, UCS, catalogs, and libraries as directed.
• Participate in customer introductions and follow-up to understand needs and provide updates.
• Document customer interactions, troubleshooting steps, resolutions, and follow-up actions.
• Gather and communicate feedback to improve products, services, and documentation.
• Analyze application or technical issues using established troubleshooting methods.
• Escalate serious issues to the Applications Engineering Manager or senior resources.
• Maintain a polite and professional approach in all interactions.
• Build technical knowledge through training, research, and mentoring.
• Collaborate with sales, service, applications engineering, and other teams to support outcomes.
