Job summary

Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence is hiring a Custom Solutions Application Engineer to identify, develop, and deliver dependable software solutions for a diverse customer base. You will work end-to-end on custom projects, configure and test solutions, and support successful implementations.

You will maintain existing software plug-ins, collaborate with sales and software teams, and document technical processes to ensure customer success. Remote-friendly role with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical discipline.
• 2+ years of relevant software development or application engineering experience.
• Experience with databases, SQL, reporting and software applications.
• Ability to troubleshoot issues in software, databases, applications or networks.
• Strong communication to translate customer needs into technical solutions.
• Comfortable working with cross-functional teams and remote environments.
• Willingness to travel up to ~30%.

Responsibilities

• Provide pre-sale and post-sale technical support for custom software solutions and integrations.
• Partner with customers and internal teams to understand requirements and translate into scopes of work.
• Develop, configure, test, and support custom software solutions for customers and partners.
• Maintain and enhance RADAN plug-ins and automation software.
• Collaborate with development teams and contribute customer insights for core product evolution.
• Create and maintain technical documentation for custom applications and integrations.
• Provide guidance and support to customers throughout solution lifecycle.
• Troubleshoot issues across software, databases, and networks.
• Build strong relationships with customers and internal teams across manufacturing.
• Work with sales, services, support, and other teams to deliver effective solutions.
• Manage multiple customer requirements while maintaining quality and documentation.
• Stay updated on software development technologies and manufacturing workflows.
• Travel to customer sites or Hexagon locations as required (up to 20-30%).
