Job summary

Siemens is seeking an Application Sales Engineer to drive direct sales of electrical equipment solutions in the US remote-enabled territory. You will partner with end-users, engineers and contractors to develop specifications and achieve order targets.

You will work with product management, quotations and project teams to communicate value propositions, guide proposals, and support profitable growth while ensuring high customer satisfaction. Travel up to 50% is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a technical field.
• 3+ years in channel sales, service or client support in electrical/power industries.
• Experience reading electrical schematics.
• Proficient in Salesforce.
• Strong leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Excellent communication, written, verbal and presentations.
• Able to travel up to 50% within territory.
• Eligible to work in the US without sponsorship.
• Data-driven sales operations mindset.

Responsibilities

• Lead system and product specification and solution sales to meet the order intake budget and other financial goals.
• Demonstrate successful execution of customer-facing strategies for products and services.
• Review and interpret customer needs on plans and specifications.
• Collect, analyze and utilize market intelligence regarding competitive products and customer needs and buying habits.
• Direct short-term and long-range planning and budget development to support strategic goals.
• Provide information via CRM for forecasts and planning.
• Prepare / coordinate and negotiate proposals with other team members.
• Coordinate the realization of assignments and contribute to product developments or services programs.
• Act as a point of contact with customers in commercial matters and influence collaboration to secure support.
