Job summary

Siemens is seeking an Application Engineer, Pre-Sales in Peachtree Corners, GA (Remote). You will act as the primary technical liaison between sales, clients, and BD to translate customer Digital Power needs into tailored solutions.

The role combines electrical engineering expertise with strong communication and business acumen to design proposals, deliver demonstrations, and support pre-sales activities across power monitoring, metering, and energy management. Some travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical/computer engineering or related field.
• 3+ years in application engineering, field service, or technical sales support in power management or electrical equipment industry.
• Strong understanding of electrical power systems and energy management solutions.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% to customer sites and internal meetings.
• Must be eligible to work in the US without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with sales and BD teams for quotation and offer management.
• Engage with clients to assess technical requirements related to power monitoring, metering, automation, and energy management.
• Own RFP/RFI technical responses and interpret electrical drawings and specs.
• Design optimal solutions using product portfolio and prepare BOMs and scope of work.
• Create and deliver technical presentations and product demonstrations for diverse audiences.
• Develop PoCs and pilot projects with customers.
• Train and support the sales team on products, applications, and competitive positioning.
• Assist in technical reviews of DES quotations.
• Stay updated on standards like Modbus and IEC 61850 and industry trends.
• Provide advanced technical support during pre-sales and relay market feedback to Product Management.
